Delving into the complex and interconnected nature of sensory experience, Boyd’s intricate surfaces suggest gravity, skin, pressure, liquid, solid, and molten forms. Prompting us to think about physical sensations and material ambiguities, her experimental paintings manipulate the senses, awakening the tactile and visceral, and stirring sensory intimacy, curiosity and pleasure.
