July 2023

A solo exhibition by Caitlin Bowe.

“Travelling to Ireland, Britain, and Scotland I seek out connections through the mythologies and folklores of these places. Sculptural works made to offer up to an ancestral past that I will never truely know. This collection is my hoard. Objects cast and sewn and forged in fire, imbued with stories once lost to me.”

Caitlin Bowe is an early career artist based in Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia. Working in the field of sculpture, Bowe utilises casting and textile techniques to explore themes of ancestral mythology, the gothic Victorian, and funerary arts. Bowe’s works look to retell lived experiences through Celtic and English mythologies, forming connections to these larger cultural narratives.

This exhibition is supported by The City of Adelaide.

Opening Friday July 7th 6-9pm, the exhibition will run until the 30th of July.

Opening night proudly supported by Forage Supplo Co.
