Timmi Tsapaliaris, “HELLO, I AM HERE”

The places we traverse daily intertwine into an idea we understand as home. A somewhat fantasy land constructed from a single viewpoint. The body imports past experience into the present, looking for checkpoints of familiarity. Personal perception is often both a common experience and an isolating one; fragmented and contradictory at best. In this exhibition my work seeks to connect personal checkpoints between the two cities I call home.
This exhibition is part of the 2017 FRAN FESTIVAL in celebration of women’s artistic achievements and in commemoration of 40 years since The Women’s Show (Adelaide 1977).
