Ash Tower, “The Burning of Vision”

The Burning of Vision is an exhibition of artefacts at the intersection of Baroque architecture and tabletop gaming. By employing materials and techniques of model-making for games, the exhibition undermines the typically opulent and excessive Western architectural style. The material practices of cardboard modelling, plaster casting, and miniature painting disarm the ‘monumental’ Baroque; leaving its essential motifs of repetition, scale and escapism.
